V School: Online Coding Bootcamp
V School is a coding bootcamp based in the beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah. V School has several programs all of which can be covered by the GI Bill. They have a full-time VA coordinator who will walk you through the whole process of using your benefits. Being a coding bootcamp, V School is able to teach you the technical skills used in the industry. 62% of their graduates get a $50k-$60k a year job within 3 months. V School's main program is a 3 month course in Fullstack Web Development where they teach you HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These are the basic building blocks of most websites and you will also learn REACT which is a javascript implementation used by Facebook. This course is 8 hours a day 5 days a week.

Entrance Assessment
Getting into the course requires that you pass an online test and complete a small project. If you pass the online test you will be given some sample materials to guide you in making a web app. You are expected to demo the project to one of the instructors of the course before you can be accepted. Not to worry as the project is rather basic and can be completed in a weekend. If your project doesn't meet their expectations you have the chance to meet with one of their mentors to resolve any issues you may have.
What to Expect Day 1
Your first day of V School you will arrive at the school at or before 9AM and the first order of business is that everyone will briefly introduce themselves and play a short game. After that you will gather in the classroom where most of the day will filled with introductions to the course materials and installation of all the required software and programs you will be using throughout the course and your future career. This will take the rest of the day to get everyone on board and set up. Free food and drinks are often provided by the school throughout the course.
